Always difficult to get a same day appointment unless you go to the clinic by 8am and queue. Having been a patient at Bourne hall for over 40 years we have seen a decline in services but I gather this is a pretty general complaint with GP surgeries. My biggest complaint is the lack of full time Doctors. I really want to see a family GP who knows me and my family who I put my trust into not being fobbed off with a different person each time. If I want to see the one Doctor in the practice who I have complete faith in then I have to be ill on her working day or wait two weeks for an appointment. Sorry for the gripes but please more full timers!

Having contacted the surgery 3 days in a row and being informed that a doctor would ring me back. I am still waiting and this was approx 6 weeks ago. So certainly would not recommend this practice. The parking is appalling and I came into the practice on Thursday afternoon, could not get a car space and I looked to see how many people were in the practice altogether downstairs was 4 patients and upstairs there was one. So why was every car space and the road running down the side of the practice full.;

The Doctors are excellent, apart from the odd locum, but it is extremely difficult to get an appointment. You are told to phone on the day only to be told after endless waits on the phone that there are no appointments, which is unrealistic if one is in employment.

The biggest problem is getting an appointment with a chosen doctor as most of their appointments are allocated very quickly. Getting an appointment the same day is usually possible if you are prepared to accept another doctor but then there is a loss of continuity. If it is a follow-up appointment, time is wasted during the appointment going over the first appointment with the second doctor. The staff are very helpful and the referral procedure for hospital consultations is well managed.
